STORY
Shalandra and Andre first crossed paths in February 2020, amidst the vibrant carnival season in Trinidad and Tobago. Little did they know, the impending Covid-19 pandemic would soon force them into a year-long separation. Despite the distance, their love persevered as they maintained a strong connection through virtual means, with Shalandra residing in the United States and Andre in Trinidad. Finally, in July 2021, when Trinidad's borders reopened, they reunited in person, knowing deep down that this was just the beginning of their journey together. Now, four years later, they are on the brink of exchanging vows, ready to embark on a lifetime of love and partnership.
OUR FIRST MEETING
On the picturesque Maracas Beach in Trinidad, back in February 2020, Shalandra and Andre's love story began to unfold. Though they had briefly met the evening before, it was on this day that they truly connected for the first time. As they spent time together, getting to know each other against the backdrop of Trinidad's vibrant carnival festivities, neither Shalandra nor Andre could foresee the beautiful journey that lay ahead.
HE PROPOSED
Amidst the enchanting ambiance of Valsayn, Trinidad and Tobago, Andre orchestrated a heartfelt proposal to Shalandra under the spellbinding glow of a "Marry Me" sign. With their loved ones gathered around, Shalandra joyously accepted Andre's proposal with a resounding "I do." What began as a tender moment of commitment transformed into a jubilant engagement celebration, filled with laughter, dancing, and cherished memories that lingered into the early hours of the morning.

We want you to look and feel your best for the wedding! Here’s some helpful information:
1. When is the RSVP deadline?
The deadline is December 21, 2024.
2. What should I wear?
The dress code is formal attire, black-tie optional. Suggestions include: Evening gowns or maxi dresses in fabrics like silk, chiffon, satin, or crepe. Tuxedos or dark suits with a bow tie or necktie. We kindly ask that black and white/ivory outfits be reserved for the bridal party. Also, since the ceremony will take place on grass, please choose your shoes accordingly.
3. Where are the ceremony and reception being held?
Both the ceremony and reception will take place at Drew Manor.
4. Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
The event will primarily be outdoors, but there will also be an indoor, air-conditioned space available.
5. How do I get to and from the venue?
Transportation will be provided from the Hyatt Hotel—details to come closer to the date. For those driving, Drew Manor has a car park available.
6. Can I bring a plus one?
If your invitation does not include a guest, we won’t be able to accommodate an additional person.
7. Can I bring my child?
We’d love for you to enjoy a night off! This will be an adults-only event.
8. Who is invited to the welcome Dinner?
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, the welcome event has been canceled. However, we would love for you to join us at the wedding and beach day!
